The Desert Stars

Hailing from Tjuntjuntjara, The Desert Stars are proud Spinifex people, widely considered to be one of the last truly nomadic Indigenous peoples.

Comprising lead guitar and backing vocalist Derek Coleman, bassist Justin Currie, drummer Ashley Franks and songwriter frontman Jay Minning, The Desert Stars are as enigmatic as they are nomadic.

They're the black ACADACA.
